English

First of all i would love to say that i really enjoy learning other languages i think i have  a very strong intention in doing that. More than saying that you are learning a language I think that what one is doing is learning another way to think. There are things that you can’t say in Spanish in the same way that you are saying those in English. Or other languages.
Personally i think that English is the language of ideas, it is a very abstract language not like Spanish that it has a more restrictive grammar.

About my experience at university. When I did the test I got this level and all that i needed to do was an interview but I did not want that, because I know that I have to improve in a lot of topics, and I know that I could use this course to practice my English, another reason to take this course was that, as an architect student I don’t have time so I knew that I wouldn't have time to learn English or practice English.

About blogs I'm gonna say that it was a fun experience, and I think it really has helped me to become a more fluent writer. I know that I have to improve but blogs was one of the first times that I really wrote a lot.

In a global context English is the most important language to learn. Saying that learning English basiccally what are you doing is learning about the actual world. I’m not saying that English is the best thing in the world but it’s a fact that at least now it makes the things easier for you

Guinea pig generation

Personally for me it’s a bit tricky to talk about this. because this is my first year at the university so my ideas are going to be very intuitive more than an empiric answer. First of all we have to understand that architecture is a very different career /I don’t want to sound like a cretin/I said it  in that way because what we do(at first) in long terms is related more in what we feel that a logic process (we really can argue about it. but what I want to say is that there’s a sensitive way to see the world  we have that is not completely present in other careers. cause this is what we do)
More into the topic, this year Universidad de Chile has implemented a new program so we’re the first generation with this new curriculum. I’m in a position where not only this is my first year but I’m the first new generation with this new program. Basically I’m on the guinea pig generation.
Another thing that Universidad de Chile has is the academic freedom so every workshop teacher can teach you what he really wants. In this point I can say that this can be good and bad at the same time. Good because yeah, you got like 10 ways to see architecture and this gives you a very special experience. But it can be a disaster if in your first year you pick a teacher that doesn’t teach you nothing. So it can happen that you arrive next year at a new workshop and you know nothing.
About the new curriculum I’ve heard that is more relaxed that the older one. But the problem is that not every teacher is implementing it. If the original idea was having more time to rest and to do a better work for wortkshop this is not working in all classes.

About infrastructure I have to say that I come from a public school. So at least for me this is good, yes it can be better. Yes we really need more space to work but it’s not the end of the world. About that there was a rumour that dean Pizzi is searching for a new place to move the faculty there. And give this to FEN. We need more space so probably we’re going to move into the next 10 years. Where are we going to be? I have no idea

proyect that pizzi rejected cause she want to move to another part (she gaves another explanation)

Grimes

I dont think i have a role model in my life so i gonna talk about one of my fav artistIt is a person that i really admire not only because her music but almost everything she doesClaire boucher better know as grimes is a canadian singersongwriter that made  "electronic"  music (i put it in that way because i think its not electronic music is more like art/weird/chillwave pop or something like that hahahawhat i really  like about her is that she has an artistic proposal  that made her different from other artists, and in these time  doing that is a thing that everyone must admire.

Aalmost every new artist from the last decade Grimes began doing music in 2007 posting on myspace her first songsBut it wasn't til 2010 that she realesed her first album geidi primes. And her second album Halfaxa.

But those albums were knows as more experimentals and it wasnt til 2012 that she realesed visions one of the best albums of the year according to pitchfork and other magazines like the Nme or rolling stones.

In 2015 she realesed art angels. And album that is know because it sounds more like the normal pop songs that you can hear on the radio but i really like it tho.
Last but not less, Claire not only write her musicshe also produce it and she made the cover art of her albumsAlso she has turned in fashion icon because of ther style
